Discover Columbus Sign

Here we are discovering Columbus with an entire Justice League crew. Check out the videos for more of what went down! Thanks to the therapy staff at Columbus Health and Rehabilitation as well as other Justice League fans for helping us out with this challenge!

Mill Race Tower Adventure

We climbed the 131 stairs to the top of the Mill Race Tower. So, challenge complete? It's not that easy for superheroes. We looked over the edge of that railing and thought...."should we try out our flying skills, right? Now is really our chance to show some moves. Do we want to win this thing or what? It's do or die!"

"Let's do it! 1.....2.....JUMP!"

It was all going so nicely. We were just soaring along, doing some flips, you know, like superheroes do. Then, all of the sudden, we got caught up in a swift wind.

Talk about a major wardrobe malfunction!

Okay, lesson learned. We need a little more practice at the flying gig. The Justice League, however, will be back for more because, if I may quote a successful Amazing Race Team from 2007, we are indeed "In it to win it."

Historic Homes Tour

We volunteered at this event at the house on 1910 Washington St. Here we ran into some amazing racers, including some Red Bulls.

Inside the house, Jon Gukenberger told us the story of the house and answered all of our studious questions. Thanks, Jon!

Here we recognized that this must be the smallest bathroom we have ever seen. Given that we have also been to the largest toilet ever through this amazing race experience, we thought it was fitting to also note the smallest, which was in this historic house.

Ethnic Expo

The Ethnic Expo was full of great food, good camradere, and lots of fun photo opts!

Here we are with the Columbus Chinese Association. The "King" in this picture designed the float that is behind us.

They allowed the Justice League to sport their Kimono dresses!

City Council Meeting

Here we are with Mayor Fred Armstrong, and Treasurer, Brenda Sullivan. During this meeting, the issue of Columbus' need for a new water plant was mentioned. To that, Mayor Armstrong stated that for now, "When you flush it, it works." But, when the time comes to purchase new one, he stated that it would become "A 60 million dollar flush." (These quotes were published with Mayor Armstrong's consent!)

Some Putt Putt Domination

Here we are at the Leg 3 wrap up...the putt putt tournament. Our banner reflects a hole for each of our sponsors. It was our attempt to do a little something to thank you all.

Here's the Amazing Race putt-putt crew, including representatives from the Local Drafts, TriTans, B.A.S.H., and the Damsels, We won leg 3 and the putt putt tournament. Oh, what a night. We bought some lottery tickets on the way home!

Mill Race Race and Mayors 5K Walk

Taking some time for a pre-race photo opt before the start of the 15K race.

We did some post race celebration with other race participants. Clint and Greg from Vistors Welcome and Casey from the Green Team got in on the fun.

Linebacker Jeff Herrod ran the 5K. Those that beat him won prizes. Rayann smoked him and Jen ran a heck of a lot further than him, so we opted for a photo.

We ran into the Tri-Tans and the Roadhouse armadillo on the way out...
