We gathered some useful financial info from The Hartford with other amazing racers. The Sizzle, Local Drafts, and, of course, the TriTans didn't miss out on this opportunity to obtain some useful knowledge.

Here is a poetic tip that we gathered from this presentation:

I know we are the Justice League and most of the time funny
But listen up this time to here our tip about money

A professional investor took some time to teach us all we need to know Considering your objectives first is really the way to go

Time frame is next, think about how fast you want the cash
For retirement, a new car, or maybe just a hell of a bash?

Don't forget about your reward potential, there is so much to gain,
But you could also lose your *&$, so consider your risk only to remain sane

Just a tip from the top, don't try it on your own
There is much to mull, so throw your investor a bone

They will take care of you, as it is what they do
You'll lean more about stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, too

The Big Flush

Big Brothers/Big Sisters Opportunity

This volunteer opportunity was a bit different than the rest. Laura Moses with Big Brother's/Big Sister's explained to us that she didn't have an "event" per se for us to sign up for and attend, much like our other volunteer opportunities. Rather, she needed some help with recruitment; she needed more "Bigs," darn it! So, the TriTans and team Justice League met at Starbucks over some coffee to hash out the details. Here's how it works: teams Justice League and the TriTans composed an e-mail to all of you amazing racers. Within this e-mail is a forward e-mail that is to be sent to anyone who would be a good candidate for the program. Volunteers then provide their contact information to Laura Moses who will set up an event for all of these interested folks to learn more about the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program. So, this challenge is not really complete without everyone's effort and until we can get Laura some volunteers. Who better than the young professionals of Columbus to help out with this. Lets show her what amazing racers can do!

Drive in Movie at Mill Race Park

As we entered Mill Race Park, we wondered "What is this movie going to be, anyway?" Through walking by the many booths and seeing all the festivities, it hit us: "This must be part of our Amazing Race Challenge! Lets put all of these clues together to figure out the movie that we will all see!" The sponsor, First Financial Bank, really went all out. Everything looked great! Here was our thought process in determining what was in store for us...(A scary trip into the minds of Team Justice League)

We've got it! It's Dreamer! We took a minute to rest after figuring out what movie we would be seeing.








Ahhh...now it's time to relax for a movie with the Damsels!

Leg 2 Wrap Up

Hospice Concert

Here we are the Hospice Concert selling raffle tickets. The phrases for the night were as follows:

"$10 for your chance to win a new car or $10,000"
"Someone has got to win...might as well be you!"
"Can't win if you don't play; $10 folks for a good cause!"
"Can you picture yourself in a brand new Ford Focus? Only $10!"





And of course we ran into the TriTans...pretty sure they didn't want to miss Jan and Dean rockin' it out.







After the work was over, we took some time to do that ourselves actually...

The Columbus football showdown: North vs East

During this blowout, we mean, game, we ran into Clint of Visitors Welcome and Michael of Dizzy and the Foreigners






So, we got a little excited during the game. East's crazy fans ran out to do some celebratory push-ups following a touchdown; we naturally joined in. Twenty-eight push ups for each of the 28 points scored just before the end of the first half. Rayann didn't quite match the rest of the very orange and enthusiastic East fans, but participated anyway! Congrats to Columbus East for the win!
